Heylen Warehouses is pleased to announce the successful signing of a significant transaction with BTS Logistics. Under this agreement, BTS Logistics will lease 24,000 square meters of warehouse space at the large-scale logistics and industrial site “South Holland Inland Port Puttershoek” (SHIPP) in the municipality of Hoeksche Waard, between Dordrecht and Rotterdam.
BTS Logistic boasts a track record of excellence in providing its customers with solutions to their transportation and logistics needs. Their decision to lease warehouse space at SHIPP 21 reflects the strategic importance of this location in their operations.
“The warehouse will be used for solar logistics and fulfilment activities”, says Michael de Rouw, CEO of BTS Logistics. “This is an expansion of our current warehousing activities which totals to 86.000 m2 after Puttershoek is delivered. We will use the new to be built barge terminal for the majority of our inbound and outbound containers in accordance with our environmental company policy.”
Heylen Warehouses is committed to sustainability and diversity in its developments. The Puttershoek campus is designed to be a green campus, incorporating environmentally-friendly features and practices to minimize its ecological footprint. For example, the construction will be entirely gas-free, and the project is on track to receive a BREEAM Very Good certification. Additionally, the roof will be covered by solar panels and green facades will seamlessly blend the building into its surroundings, further enhancing its eco-friendly design.
Furthermore, Heylen Warehouses places great emphasis on mobility and ensuring a safe and convenient access for both tenants and the local community. That is why a new access road has been constructed connecting the N217 to the SHIPP 21 campus, and a bicycle tunnel is currently being built to provide a safe route for cyclists.
