Eltra nv, a wholesaler and specialist in electrical equipment and lighting, and part of the Heylen Group, announced the relocation of their logistics activities to a state-of-the-art new warehouse on Ghent Logistic Campus in April 2022.
The brand-new warehouse, which was developed by Heylen Warehouses, does not just satisfy the company’s vigorous quantitative growth and ambitions. It also means that Eltra nv will have a high-tech, roboticised warehouse by Exotec that will make the services it provides to customers even more efficient.
Eltras current infrastructure is no longer able to keep pace with the company’s growth and ambitions, both operationally and in terms of space. To date, the logistics activities of Eltra have been fragmented accross a variety of sites in the Temse region. Eltra nv had been looking for a site to bring its logistics activities under one roof for some time. It ultimately found the solution within the Heylen Group.
Ghent Logistic Campus is a brand-new, sustainable, state-of-the-art logistics complex. Eltra NV is currently occupying two units, but the site in Evergem has a total area of 185,000 m², which offers huge scope for expansion. Not only does Ghent Logistic Campus scores highly in terms of technology, the complex is also a shining example of sustainability. For instance, the entire complex has been made energy-neutral and it was constructed using the BREEAM method.
