Herentals, January 29 – Heylen Warehouses is proud to announce the acquisition of the former Recor Bedding site in Genk. The property covers 55,000 sq.m (5.5 ha) of prime industrial land, located at a prominent intersection of the Zuiderring and Westerring, between the E314 and E313 and with direct access from the Zuiderring
Currently, the site features a 22,000 sq.m logistics building, divided into multiple units. Units are available for lease from 2,800 sq.m up to 20,000 sq.m, suitable for production, assembly and all types of logistics activities. Units can also be leased individually.
Heylen Warehouses intends to redevelop the premises into a modern light-industrial and logistics site. The new development will cover approx. 30,000 sq.m across three units, with mezzanine and offices and a clear height of 13.7 meters. Building permits are expected in Q1 2027.
The transaction was advised by Ceusters, with CBRE in co-exclusive mandate. The property was sold by Recor Bedding, a former Belgian manufacturer of mattresses and bedding products.
