Herentals, 29 June 2026 – Heylen Warehouses and Borghese Logistics proudly announce the start of the first phase of their large-scale logistics development in Vlissingen: V-Port Logistic Campus 21.
With the addition of HIH Logistics and Feniks Warehouses, the campus immediately gains a strong operational foundation. Both parties bring complementary expertise within the logistics chain of high-value and regulated goods flows.
“With these first partnerships, we are taking an important step from vision to reality,” says Jordy Grundel, Head of Business Development at Heylen Warehouses. “The arrival of HIH Logistics and Feniks Warehouses not only confirms the market potential, but also the confidence in our approach and infrastructure.”
Feniks Warehouse is a logistics service provider specializing in warehousing and distribution within international supply chains, with a strong focus on Asia–Europe trade flows.
“This expansion marks an important milestone in the continued growth of Feniks and our lithium battery storage operations”, says Mei Lin, Director of Feniks. “V-Port Logistics Campus 21 provides the capacity and infrastructure needed to support the increasing demand for safe and compliant lithium battery warehousing.”
HIH logistics is a global integrated supply chain service provider founded jn 1995. It specializes in smart integrated logistics for globalized supply chains, with deep expertise in three core sectors: photovoltaic, energy storage and automotive industries.
“HIH is honored to enter into a partnership with Heylen and Borghese on dangerous goods warehousing. We appreciate the support and are delighted to bring the most professional and fully compliant dangerous goods warehousing and logistics services to local clients in the Netherlands”, says Jieli Wang CEO of HIH.
The development in Vlissingen comprises a total of 188,000 m² of logistics space on a site of more than 27 hectares. The first phase, for which construction began in May 2026, consists of two halls fully designed according to the strictest safety standards for lithium-ion storage.
“Safety and compliance are central to this project,” adds Nick Van Vliet, Real Estate Developer at Borghese Logistics. “With this development, we are proactively responding to stricter regulations regarding Li-ion storage and offering our clients a future-proof solution.”
The development of V-Port Logistic Campus 21 is being carried out in close collaboration with North Sea Port, the municipality of Vlissingen, and involved advisors and contractors. This joint approach ensures smooth and high-quality project execution, with all stakeholders actively contributing to the development of the site.
The choice of Vlissingen remains a key asset. The location is situated between the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam and offers excellent multimodal connectivity. The combination of available space, limited congestion and the possibility for large-scale, regulated development makes the region particularly attractive for specialized logistics activities.
Moreover, the site is fully construction-ready, with irrevocable permits and direct access to utilities, enabling fast and efficient realization.
With the confirmation of HIH Logistics and Feniks Warehouses, V-Port Logistic Campus 21 is evolving from a forward-looking vision into a concrete logistics ecosystem.
“We greatly value the trust that Heylen and Borghese have placed in Feniks and would like to thank them for this partnership”, says Mei Lin, Director of Feniks. “We look forward to building a long-term and successful collaboration while supporting our customers from Vlissingen with flexible, reliable and high-quality storage solutions for lithium batteries.”
