Herentals, May 21, 2024 – Heylen Warehouses is delighted to announce the successful completion of its second significant transaction with BTS Logistics. Under this arrangement, BTS Logistics will lease an additional approx. 24,000 sq.m of warehouse space at the wide-ranging logistics and industrial site «South Holland Inland Port Puttershoek» (SHIPP) in the municipality of Hoeksche Waard. This marks a substantial expansion, elevating the total operational space for this esteemed player to approx. 48.500 sq.m.
BTS Logistic boasts a track record of excellence in providing its customers with solutions to their transportation and logistics needs. Their decision to further expand reflects the strategic importance of this location.
“We still had goods stored in other warehouses with other providers and opted to manage them in-house”, says Michael de Rouw, CEO of BTS Logistics. “Renting in Phase 2 allows us to consolidate our operations and have full control over our inventory.”
Fostering growth through partnership and sustainability
Heylen Warehouses doesn’t just provide space; it fosters partnerships aimed at supporting the growth and development of its tenants. Moreover, Heylen Warehouses is dedicated to sustainability. The Puttershoek campus is meticulously designed as a green campus, integrating eco-friendly features and practices to reduce its environmental impact. For instance, rainwater harvesting systems are ensuring efficient resource utilization, including purposes like toilet flushing. Additionally, the incorporation of green facades seamlessly blends the buildings into its natural surroundings, enhancing its eco-conscious design. Furthermore, sustainability has been incorporated by installing solar panels on the roofs and placing charging stations for electric vehicles.
Prioritizing mobility: enhancing accessibility for tenants and community
Heylen Warehouses places great emphasis on mobility and ensuring a safe and convenient access for both tenants and the local community. That is why a new access road has been constructed connecting the N217 to the SHIPP 21 campus, and a bicycle tunnel has been built to provide a safe route for cyclists.
«As Business Development Manager, I’m thrilled to see BTS Logistics committing to leasing Phase 2 as well. This expansion not only signifies their confidence in our facilities but also reinforces our ability to accommodate their evolving needs and support their growth trajectory effectively», says Jordy Grundel, Business Development Manager at Heylen Warehouses.
Commercial guidance and advisory support
In this transaction, Ooms Makelaars Bedrijfshuisvesting (partner in Dynamis Logistiek) provided commercial guidance to Heylen Warehouses. De Mik Real Estate Partners provided advisory services to the tenant.
